Join us for a gentle meander through the streets of Ealing looking at 19th- and 20th-century houses and public buildings including the Brentham Estate, the first garden suburb, which predates Hampstead, as well as Ealing Abbey, St Peter’s church in Montpellier Road and down to St Mary’s in South Ealing. The tour is led by Elain Harwood, architectural historian with Historic England, accompanied by James Hughes, the Victorian Society’s senior conservation adviser. Attenders need to bring their own bikes and helmets and be confident road users. Meet on Haven Green opposite Ealing Broadway station. £10. Booking required.*
