Building schools for Sheffield 1870-1914

A book published in association with the South Yorkshire Group of the Victorian Society

Sheffield has one of the best, and largest, collections of Board School buildings to survive anywhere, but these fine buildings are not well-known or appreciated. Yet they contributed enormously to the development of education in the city, and are a significant part of the streetscape. This book sets the record straight by celebrating a part of Sheffield's history and heritage which deserves to be recognised.

Now reduced to £8 including postage and packing.
